we are right where we left off at the end of the first part. as we're walking towards the exit of the power plant, we can see the remnants of rail poles. and some old wooden electrical poles which aren't connected to anything ... ... and have been replaced by the modern standard high voltage ones in the background. even though nothing is left of the plant's buildings, some parts of the canal system have remained. we suddenly stumble upon an industrial railroad, which still functions to this day. some remnants of the entry gate are located here. old railway semaphores are still in use here, i believe it's a german type used at mining tracks. it would make sense since it's connected to the ČSA opencast coal mine, which has been stopping operations and will be mined off around 2026. i hope to take a look at the ČSA mine in a future post. some of these tracks seem to lead nowhere. it would be a nice exploration walk along those - maybe sometime in the summer. a little hut with some decayed machinery. a pole with lights that shine on the tracks during night. it was higher than it looks on the photo. i climbed to one of the floors sections, sadly the lid was locked up. continuing to walk back towards the parking spot, an electrical station of some sorts appears. one of my photography love are electrical poles. especially if the sky looks nice behind them, ... ... and the other being railways. it's probably the autism creeping outside of me, i can't really explain it well. looking back at the pole i tried climbing. the peaks of krušné hory mountains look great in the mist. a crossing which doesn't get much use anymore. with the exception being the cars used by some workers. another good looking light pole. this one however lights up an industrial place that's near the tracks. looking through an overgrown field of some sorts. it has been ages since these places saw any activity. an old factory with a brick chimney. can also be seen in the first photo of the first part. a modern-ish Komořany thermal power plant, built in the 1940s. it supplies nearby towns. a building of the thermal power plant. some parts of it are currently being rebuilt into an incineration plant. they want to finish sometime by the year 2027. i plan to come back here when the weather is nicer, either during spring or summer. not only will the photos look a bit nicer with a blue sky, but i also want to shoot more of the industrial buildings, which i didn't have time for during this visit.
