as the night lingers
the past lives visit us
have all crops been harvested?
as the day shortens
lean over the bonfire
and remember what brought you here
give your gifts to the souls
of the other side
who shall never be forgotten
they helped us pave the ways
planted the seeds of life
and to what evail?
light your candles in the windows
and visit the mossy graves
of those who came before us
